Activities at Sathya Sai Grama
Daily activities in the campuses of Sri Sathya Sai Loka Seva Institutions are so designed as to instill in the students noble qualities like devotion, discipline, duty – consciousness, obedience and respect to parents, teachers and elders and other ennobling traits. This is done through a disciplined daily routine and exposure to moral and spiritual values. Moral and spiritual education and based on the universal Sai principles of Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa is integrated with the entire academic program. Faith in the Fatherhood of God and brotherhood of man is instilled in the students through moral classes.
In order to ensure the integral development of the personality of the students here they are provided with ample opportunities to engage themselves in a wide variety of Co-curricular activities like Yogasanas, drawing, acting, debates, computer classes, vocal and instrumental music, karate, band-set etc. Due importance is given to sports and games. Our students prove their mettle in Taluk, District, State and National level sports and games competitions.
The institution are managed by sincere, selfless full-time dedicated authorities and staff who reside in the campus and look after the welfare of the students and strive hard for their allround development in an atmosphere of love and care. Sri U. Gangadhar Bhat, Sri M. Ishwara Bhat and Sri B. Narayana Rao who joined Loka Seva Vrinda at a very young age being inspired by the ideals of Rev. Sri Madiyal Narayan Bhat and who strove day and night him in building the Institution are now in charge of these institutions and they are a source of inspiration to the youngsters here.
Bhagawan Baba says that education should clarify the vision and purify the hearts of students; it should illuminate their head and heart. Schools and colleges should be the real centres of knowledge, culture and spirituality. Students should understand our glorious, ancient rich heritage.
The educational institutions being run by Bhagawan Baba are not the stress type of ever so many existing educational institutions. The fusion and blending of modern knowledge with the lofty moral and spiritual tradition of Bharath gives these institutions a uniqueness of purpose and atmosphere. The students of these institutions live in an atmosphere of love without any distinction like caste, creed, colour and religion. SWAMI often says “There is only one caste, the caste of humanity, there is only one religion, the religion of love; there is only one language, the language of the heart; there is only one God, He is omnipresent”. If purpose of different countries decide to co-exist in tune with this Divine call there will be no hatred, no ill-will, no bitterness and no rivalry and verily this will be the Golden Age in history of mankind.
