Places For Workship
Temples have been built in those adopted villages where there were no temples earlier and the dilapidated temples have been renovated in order to instill devotion, fear of sin and a sense of unity in the villagers. The details are as follows:
- In the small village of Chigatenahalli a Ganesha Temple was built at a cost of Rupees 2.6 Lakh in the year 2002-03;
- In Suddahalli a big platform was built under the huge peepul tree and Sri Varadanjaneya temple was built during 2004-2005. The total expenditure incurred for this project was Rupees 1.86 Lakhs.
- Sri Maheshwari Temple, which was in a dilapidated condition in Singatakaderanahalli, was renovated at a cost of Rupees 1.20 Lakhs in the year 2005-06.
- The year 2006-2007 saw the construction of two magnificent temples in Byrnayakanahalli and in Ganteganahalli. Sri Venkataramanaswamy temple in Byrnayakanahalli was built at a cost of Rupees 5.58 Lakhs and the expenditure incurred for the construction of Sri Sai Ganesha temple in Ganteganahalli was Rupees 5.36 Lakhs.
- Land leveling and proper drainage works were undertaken in the year 2007 around Sri Venkataramanaswamy temple in Thirnahalli and an amount of Rupees 1.46 Lakhs was spent for this purpose.
- Totally under this scheme and amount of Rupees 18.06 Lakhs has been spent as on September.
